Position Summary: The Engagement Manager is a wonderful opportunity for educators who are seeking full time work in a non-profit retail environment. Ideally, we are looking for experienced educators who see the instructional value in a wide range of donated materials and supplies.  The Engagement Manager supports all aspects of RAFT’s retail operations. This includes membership processing, resource area supervision, PoS operation, selling products and most importantly, providing high quality customer service to our members.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week including benefits). Saturdays are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality customer service contributing to a friendly, welcoming and service oriented retail environment.
  • Operate the Square Point of Sale (PoS) system including opening, closing and reconciliation
  • Staff the membership desk and process new and renewal memberships, as well as answering the main phone line
  • Primary customer point for our resource area, including answering questions and providing assistance with die cuts and laminating machines
  • Responsible for creating, tracking and reporting on purchase orders in Netsuite
  • Maintain a clean and safe retail environment including trash removal as needed
  • Provide backup support for the cashiers during peak times and reduce customer wait times

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Write and speak clearly and concisely
  • Computer literate, specifically working in database applications
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills working with members, donors, staff, and management
  • Be service oriented, actively contributing to a friendly, welcoming retail environment
  • Be a well-organized, detail-oriented problem-solver, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently with limited supervision
  • Some retail experience preferred
  • Must be available to work Tuesday – Saturday

 Education and/or Experience:

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or higher degree or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred

 Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, individuals should have experience using Microsoft software programs, e-mail, Internet applications, database (Netsuite or similar) and Point of Sale experience.

 Certifications and/or Licensure

Valid State of California Driver’s License preferred
