RAFT Resource Centers have a wealth of surplus donated materials of all kinds from local businesses educators can use to be inspired to assemble their own hands on teaching activities.

Professional Development

Workshops for educators (preschool, TK-Grade 12, homeschool, after school, and community groups) on a variety of practical hands on teaching techniques in Science, Technology, Math, Art, World Culture, Classroom Skills and Early Education. Each summer, RAFT Bay Area offers RAFT Institutes – Math, Science and Innovation – where educators gain a more extensive hands-on teaching experience.

Green Room Resources

A work space with plenty of room and tools (laminators, large library of die cuts, book binding machine, and more) to transform materials into visual teaching aids. Regularly scheduled demos provide ideas and tips for utilizing this resource.
