RAFT is a non-profit organization that provides educators with the tools they need to engage their students in powerful hands-on learning experiences. We offer a selection of innovative hands-on activities, educational resources and inexpensive supplies (many donated by local businesses) to enrich pre K-12 education and community programs. RAFT also serves as a professional organization for teachers, providing development workshops and the ongoing support they need to excel in their day-to-day classroom endeavors.
Thanks to widespread community participation, RAFT is able to add value to donated items, which are repurposed into hands-on teaching tools and activities. The ideas and materials RAFT offers enable students to explore subjects such as math, science, technology and art through first-hand experience. At RAFT, we believe hands-on teaching is the best way for teachers to teach and students to learn.
